Checks whether a file or directory exists.

Parameters:

• $filename (string)

Returns: bool

• Compiled (AOT): supported by the Elephc code generator.
• eval() (magician interpreter): supported — declarative interpreter builtin (crates/elephc-magician/src/interpreter/builtins/filesystem/file_exists.rs).
